I keep asking this - I understand that soulless corporations are legally bound to create profits and damn the consequences, but why do ordinary people go along with what is clearly a eugenic atrocity of colossal scale, since every child on earth is a target for this experiment in mass medical de-sexing?

First it was, 'be kind, they are an oppressed (or at least marginalised) group.' Then it became, 'all the trendy people are saying it, so I should, too.' Then it became, 'but if I say anything, I'll be accused of being a TERF and a bigot. Look what they've done to JKR.' And now, now we are in the place where fear rules, because almost everyone is (and ought to be) afraid of the raging men in lipstick who are demanding death to anyone who disagrees. This is also the time when courage calls to courage. The 'general public' is becoming aware ('no debate' has failed) and not having any of it. Now we will begin, but only just begin, the long slog back to reality.

Isn't cutting off one's breasts while going ahead and having a child you know will never have a chance to start on mother's milk - isn't that child abuse, or at least child neglect?

Expand full comment
Tracy Hill's avatar

Such women were apparently so "dysphoric" that they couldn't possibly go on living with breasts yet we're perfectly happy to do the most basic thing a woman does which is to have a baby?? Clearly such people do not have dysphoria at all, it's gone beyond that into some perverse cultish fad.

Sadly yes it is child abuse, so this leads to the logical decision to legislate for compulsory sterilisation following breast removals.

The medical journals that kept publishing incorrect articles claiming medical intervention helped and was lifesaving and refused to published evidence based rebuttals pointing out the errors (see Mason and Sapirs op Ed in the WSJ, D'Angelo et Al, 2021). Anyone who cast the core disagreement as political, who characterized those who said there's huge danger and uncertainty as anti-science....the journals who backed these unsupported and/or false papers. The news agencies that refused to do corrections and kept pushing this all as political, too.

That's an utterly daunting list. It makes my brain hurt to ponder how so many people who should (or quietly do) know better just allow it to continue. I'm so tired of all the "innovation" in tech, medicine, etc. that still wants to "disrupt"/"move fast and break stuff". These idiots have broken lives and fractured the foundations of our society with their reckless and, frankly, foolhardy ideologies. It enrages me, right down to the JavaScript developer and the 31+ flavors of gender drop down menu. 🫩🤬

Recommend Sarah Wynn-Williams’ book ‘Careless People’. You don’t hate tech companies enough. This is what happens when we blindly assume do-gooders, leaders, and other wealthy people know what they are talking about. They do not. Anyone can get caught up in circular reasoning and everyone becomes blind when reputation, power, and money is on the line.

That's been on my list. I was actually thinking of getting a book discussion group going but couldn't get enough copies to make it work. I'm reading it one way or the other. I first heard about it via Cory Doctorow’s blog. I tend to think most people are bs-ing their way to the top, anymore. You can say any absurd thing and get a following if you look the part and have confidence enough. What a world. Oof.

The opening gives you a pretty clear sense of the writer. Won’t spoil it but, wow. As I get older it’s getting clearer that folks motivated by ‘saving the world’ can be, however inadvertently, as destructive as those who care only for power—and perhaps more blind to the equally self-involved reasons they’re doing it. The combination of both delusions is demonstrably awful. Oof is right.

I worked a Catholic charity for years before working at the library. The path to hell is absolutely paved with good intentions. Also, not a lot of metacognition going on in the "donor" class.

Expand full comment
HWSr.'s avatar

I hear that. It doesn’t matter what the charity or organization addresses—if there’s money and/or virtue and prestige involved sooner or sooner still leadership will be compromised by it. The staff will go along to get along, and the volunteers/donors will overlook everything until something so egregious and embarrassing happens funding is seriously threatened. And after the dust-up and damage control they’ll just continue along. Unfortunately, philanthropy as a whole is moving increasingly towards less oversight and accountability in grant making not less. Like almost everything else in this brave new world, the sheer audacity of this dereliction is stunning. I’m now at the place where I only provide direct help to people and situations I personally know and for specific, observable purposes. That’s it. And I think that’s the best form of charity and community involvement we can give.

Without patting myself on the back ,I can honestly say that I knew without a shadow of doubt ,that gender ideology was misogynistic garbage as soon as I found out about it ( in 2018 ).That was before they started talking about " trans " kids and before the appallingly outrageous demands of the TRAs became widespread. I will NEVER understand how this malevolent ideology ever got accepted ,and supported ,by any normal person ,let alone be allowed to flourish and capture so many of our institutions here in the West !! The world lost its mind with the result that many children and young people are now irreversibly damaged for life. It's a scandal of gigantic proportions and there will never be enough prisons to house ALL those responsible ,including activists ,supporters ,medics ,politicians ,police ,and many MORE ! It makes my blood boil ,but thank God there are many people like Graham bravely fighting against this horrific agenda !! Thanks , Graham and Roisin.x

Hmm, Drag Queens, i.e. female impersonators told us what we needed to know about men who liked prancing around in womanface for appreciative audiences. Their portrayals of women as stupid, venal, hypersexual, bleeders, breeders and b *tches told us everything about the coming tsunami that they popularized. Drag Queen Story Hour anyone??

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Though many women may not appreciate the “humour” in it. But much of it seems “tinged” by bitterness, envy, and outright hate. Misogny in drag as Brendan O'Neill once put it:

As I put it in a comment on Graham Linehan's Substack -- who has recently linked to, touted, and cross-posted this post of yours:

"I'm reminded of a photograph taken in Germany just after the Second WW. It showed some allied troops forcing the German towns-people in places like Dachau and Buchenwald to march through the concentration camps there and see for themselves what had been done 'in their names'.

Same thing should apply to those people -- particularly so-called doctors, lawyers, politicians, philosophers, and biologists -- who have contributed in any way to the butchering, castration, and sterilization of autistic and dysphoric children. The lot should be strung up by their nuts and left to twist in the wind."
